Glenwood Cemetery – a great place to take photos if you ever find yourself in Houston.

This is another photo from Magic, a special exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

I’m Watching You

Sometimes, I find the animals around here a little creepy.

Cups and Balls Magic

I just got back home from the Houston Museum of Natural Science. After closing to the public, they held an event where they gave photographers access to their new special exhibit, Magic.
Update: Photo of the Week on The Loop Scoop

Spring Morning at Sunrise

About two hours ago, I took my daughter (3.5 months old) for a sunrise stroll in the park. I always take my camera along, and it usually pays off.

The Most Evil Tree in the Park

To me, it just looks like it is up to no good.

I have posted photos of this tree before. If you are ever near Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, go take a look.

Looking Up

Here is a tall one from Glenwood Cemetery. It has some harsh shadows, but I like it.

River Grove Park

Lately, I have been visiting all the parks in Kingwood, Texas. I took this photo in River Grove Park earlier this week. It was foggy, and it starts raining right after I arrived. I seems like every time I go, all the birds sit just a little to far away for me to get decent [...]

Houston Skyline

This is what Houston looks like from Buffalo Bayou Park.

Orange Sunrise

I took this photo a couple weeks ago. I uploaded it to Flickr right away, and tried adding it to the Assignment: Houston group. The current assignment is to take a picture of something orange. Too bad I didn’t read the rules until later – sunsets and sunrises don’t count. Oh well, it is already [...]

Peafowl

I took this in Deussen Park, on the same morning as my last post. Around Houston, all the animals look like they want to fight. Maybe it is my imagination.

Mercer Arboretum

I went to Mercer Arboretum yesterday morning. The picture shows a path flanked by Maple trees.

Tiny Waterfall

I am changing employers, and today is the beginning of two months off.
Oh, and the photo is from the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park.

Long Limbed

This is in Hermann Park. It is another example of me struggling to take the pictures I want on an overcast day.

Japanese Garden

A couple days ago, I realized that Hermann Park has a Japanese Garden. Too bad the day was rainy and overcast. I tried to keep very little sky in my pictures, because I knew it wouldn’t have any color.

Hermann Park Squirrel Thug

On Friday I walked around Hermann Park, in Houston. The wildlife there are used to people feeding them. Several squirrels approached me. They seemed upset that I wasn’t giving them food. I really thought this guy was going to mug me.
