This is one of my most popular photos on my Flickr account, but I don’t think I have posted it here before. I took this photo with a pocket camera in Peru. I visited Trujillo several times while staying nearby in Huanchaco. I liked Huanchaco much more.
Deussen Park, Houston, Texas
I had Houstonist Photo of the Day earlier this week, but for a different photo.
River Grove Park, Kingwood, Texas
One of my Ecuador photos was posted recently on A Photo a Day from Planet Earth: A Vision of Hats.
Previously they posted Incan Wall and Badlands Bison.
Update - This photo was the Houstonist Photo of the Day for 17 February 2010.
I have posted photos of this tree before. If you are ever near Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, go take a look.
Machu Picchu - from my 2007 South America trip.
Update: Posted on Photo a Day from Planet Earth on 17 January 2010.
This is another misty photo from River Grove Park, in Kingwood.
I am trying to decide on a photo project for 2010. I am tempted to try doing 52 photowalks - one each week. Iffles did this for 2009, and it looks like a great idea. I am close to going out that regularly anyway. On [...]
This is one of the photos I used on my family Christmas cards. My daughter was freaking out for most of the time, but I was lucky enough to get a few decent photos. This was my favorite.
If you look close, you can see my reflection in her eyes.
Lately, I have been visiting all the parks in Kingwood, Texas. I took this photo in River Grove Park earlier this week. It was foggy, and it starts raining right after I arrived. I seems like every time I go, all the birds sit just a little to far away for me to get decent [...]
I took this photo on the day my daughter was born. I should probably go buy a few more hard drives, because I am going to take a crazy number of photos of her.
I took this photo a couple weeks ago. I uploaded it to Flickr right away, and tried adding it to the Assignment: Houston group. The current assignment is to take a picture of something orange. Too bad I didn’t read the rules until later - sunsets and sunrises don’t count. Oh well, it is already [...]
This is from a foggy morning last week, when I drove up to Kingwood and went looking for new places to photograph. This is in River Grove Park.
I took this in Deussen Park, on the same morning as my last post. Around Houston, all the animals look like they want to fight. Maybe it is my imagination.
I went jogging in Alexander Duessen Park this morning. I took my camera, just in case the sun came out.
I went to Mercer Arboretum yesterday morning. The picture shows a path flanked by Maple trees.
I am changing employers, and today is the beginning of two months off.
Oh, and the photo is from the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park.
This is in Hermann Park. It is another example of me struggling to take the pictures I want on an overcast day.
