Sunrise at East End Park

On Friday morning, I walked around East End Park in Kingwood, Texas. I was happy that it didn’t start raining until after I was done walking the trails.

Friday Photo: Ollantaytambo, Peru

I took this photo of Ollantaytambo in November of 2007. These are Incan ruins in Peru’s Sacred Valley. Once you climb up the terraces, you can see other structures on nearby mountains. Armand Bayou Nature Center

Today, I visited the Armand Bayou Nature Center. They have a variety of short trails that take you through forest, marsh, and prairie. There were many butterflies around, but the only ones I could get close to were the Swallowtails.

Friday Photo: Bees In My Basil

This is another photo from my garden. Bees love my cinnamon basil.

Sheldon Lake State Park

A few weeks ago, I found a good place near Houston for birding photos. I can’t identify many birds, but I saw white ibises everywhere.
